INFORMATION SESSION on Tuesday, May 5 from 5:30-7:30pm at Faith Community Church, New Richmond
Firm Foundation Learning Center is a private, Christian school. We do not affiliate with any one Christian denomination. The Bible, God's Word, is our guide in all that we do. Our core K-12 Biblical worldview curriculum combines the best of Charlotte Mason's ideas, classical education, and unit studies. Experiential and project-based learning are essential components of our students' learning journey. We also value each student's distinct learning style and adapt curriculum and learning strategies where needed, especially with Math and Language Arts.
Bible Integration: Celebrate the world through God's eyes! We integrate the Bible (God's Truth) in history, geography, science, literature, art, music, and character development. Students cycle through the Bible 3 times.
Charlotte Mason: Charlotte Mason's educational philosophy includes living books, literature, timelines, Century Books ("notebooking") and nature walks to inspire curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. We spend a lot of time outside in nature, experiencing God's creation.
Classical Education, The Hebraic Way: DISCOVER, INVESTIGATE, and DECLARE – our God-centric curriculum mirrors the Greco-Roman classical approach of grammar, logic, and rhetoric, while we teach your children Who God Is.
Unit Studies: Hands-on Unit Studies enhance retention and foster a love for learning. They include simple hands-on projects that are organized in a chronological learning sequence.
Global Focus & Bible Translation: Bring world and U.S. history to life by learning God's story of people – diverse countries and cultures – all needing the grace and truth that comes through the message of His Word.
We teach our students to honor God in all that they do - relationships, education, service, vocation, etc. In middle and high school, we work with our students to focus on the gifts and talents God has given them. We provide volunteer, job shadowing and apprenticeship opportunities to help students explore different career paths and build skills to prepare them for a future profession.
Our high school students also have the unique opportunity to receive dedicated coaching at our learning lounge to help with their curriculum and group projects. Our seniors will have the added benefit of being a part of "Navigate".
Navigate is an online 16-week course that teaches students how to discover their life purpose and find answers to life’s big questions.
Navigate provides students with a framework to handle the questions and decisions that life throws at them, with wisdom and discernment from a Biblical worldview and Godly perspective.
Navigate students learn how to answer questions like:
How do I figure out God’s will for my life?
How do I know what I should do after high school?
How do I handle having too many interests – or not enough?
How do I get unstuck and find motivation?
Navigate will help students identify their next steps and move forward with confidence in their decisions.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him - Colossians 3:17
